Lim Yizhen, co-founder & director
Trained in jazz, hip hop, salsa and others, Yizhen loves exploring and expanding her knowledge of different dance genres and movement modalities. She is dedicated to sharing this with students from teens to adults, teaching dance and Pilates to enhance their quality of movement in order to better express themselves.
An NUS Dance Ensemble alumna, Yizhen has mentored under Lionel Araya as part of L.A. Dance Connection’s Scholarship & Apprenticeship Programme (SG), and also Sheila Barker, Joy Karley and Jamie Jackson in Broadway Dance Center’s International Student Visa Program (NY) where she received the Outstanding Student Award. She has worked with Alex To, Grasshopper, Buddha Stretch and Kumari Suraj, among others. Memorable performances include Great World Cabaret (Dream Academy), the National Gallery Festival Opening, and Carnival – The Choreographers’ Ball NYC 10th Anniversary. Special choreographic works include ROUSE – Contemporary Dance Showcase (NY), Glass Canvas (2014 & 2017), LAMBANŌ – A Contemporary Fusion Dance Show (2012, SG) and Dream Academy’s Broadway Beng: Last Beng Standing (2019, SG).

Daphne Phua, co-founder
Since 2009, Daphne has been teaching dance from beginner to advanced levels. Her students range from young students to adults and have gone on to win placings at regional dance competitions, including CSTD Regional competitions, Get the Beat World Finals and ATOD International (Bangkok). Her students are highly motivated and she is consistently evolving her methods to teach better.
Daphne has completed her CSTD Modern Jazz and currently holds a full Teaching Diploma. Since 2012, Daphne has trained and guide students for their graded exams, including DSA applications.
Beginning her journey in her secondary school dance CCA, she honed her skills in ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) Danz Inc, and through the Developing Artiste Programme at Jitterbugs Swingapore, as well as month-long intensive training at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center in New York. Favourite performances she’s done include Joanna Dong’s concert So Here I Am, Rainbows for Gardens by the Bay.
